- Local Info;
- Your Site Name (webworkshop),
- Your local root folder (J:\\my_web_sites\webworkshop),
- The server URL (www.webworkshop.net.au/~akendall/) that your site will be uploaded to,
- Remote Info;
- Access (select FTP),
- FTP Host (webworkshop.net.au),
- Host Directory or Folder (public_html/),
- Login/Password (provided by server manager),
- Secure FTP (this option is available in DW MX 2004 by ticking the box).
Exercise 2
- Discuss why there's a restricted palette of fonts on the web.
- Because all computers may not have lots of fonts loaded on them, and
- Some fonts are harder to read than others.
Exercise 3
- Discuss the use of an image as a headline or a button on a webpage, and the use of more decorative fonts to create a "feel" or tell a story, create a mood.
- These are used (although they should be limited in numbers used) because if the fancy/decorative fonts are not loaded on their PC then a substitute font is used and the feel you may have been looking for in your site could be lost.
